System Leaders Forum
How can K-12 and postsecondary leaders work together to prepare all students, especially those who are underserved, for the challenges of higher education? How can we, as leaders, work together to assure a smooth transition from secondary to higher education, so students persist and earn postsecondary degrees? Through large and small group sessions, this forum will examine the critical questions associated with this effort, as well as best practices from the field.

MathForward™: A Culture of Academic Achievement for All Students in the World of Mathematics
This session focuses on how MathForward™ has become a data-driven culture, using data in design, planning, diagnosis, and prescription. Attendees will learn about the components designed to increase student achievement and build stronger teachers. The Texas Instruments MathForward program enables schools to prepare students for algebra and higher mathematics and creates a basis for sustained success over the long term.

New "Weeks at a Glance" and Standards for the AVID Elective Class
Presentation
Come learn about the new Weeks at a Glance resources and AVID Elective class Standards that will begin rolling out at Summer Institute 2012. The new Weeks at a Glance format, technology applications, and Lesson Plan resources will support teachers as they seamlessly integrate the AVID curriculum into their class as part of a vertically aligned, standards-based sequence.

Mining Data and Provoking Questions to Improve Student Learning for College
The session will review EXPLORE, PLAN, and ACT data to facilitate a professional learning experience and ensure that educators understand ACT aggregate reports. Data techniques designed to teach, inform, challenge, and refine educator and counselor use of data for proactive interventions will be covered.
